Santa Teresa is full of international cuisine, talented artists, great music and incredible sunsets every night! To help you get the most out of your experience I have shared with you a few of my favourite places to eat and drink.
Eating in Santa Teresa
This cafe and art gallery was one of my favourite in Santa Teresa. It is such a pretty cafe where the food and the art make the perfect combination! The homemade bread was the best I have tasted so I definitely recommend any sandwiches that they are preparing!
They also offer art workshops a couple of times a week so if this is something that you want to check out visit their Facebook page for more info.
La Esquinita del Taco
This little taco station is perfect if you want a quick and cheap meal – ideal for in between surfs! The tacos and burritos are so yummy and convenient, I think I went there about four times within my stay!
This asian inspired restaurant is a little more on the pricey side but the sushi does not disappoint! They offer great sharing platters of sushi allowing you to try different variations and share them with your friends. Great place to go on special occasions as it has a great relaxing and romantic atmosphere.
This burger restaurant is located on the main high street of Santa Teresa and is one of the most liveliest and vibrant places on the strip being busy every evening that it is open. All the burgers are tasty and a bonus is that they allow you to bring your own alcohol with you.
Drinking in Santa Teresa
There is always something going on within the nightlife of Santa Teresa, whether it is a beach party or an art show. To keep in the loop with what is happening when you are visiting check out the website Santa Teresa Online. Most bars have a particular night of the week that they are at their best and below are a few that I would definitely recommend checking out.
Kika is where everyone heads to on a Thursday night from about 10pm onwards. They have great live music that will be sure to make you want to dance and they serve great mojitos! Kika is also a restaurant serving amazing food (however is definitely on the pricey side).
Head to Rocamar beach bar on Sunday for their sunset beach party! It is located right is front a great surf spot and the atmosphere, hula hooping dancers and music is sure to put everyone in a good mood! Make sure that you get here early before sunset to make the most of it as the party ends at about 8/9pm.
Vista De Olas
Vista De Olas is a must for at least one of your sunsets in Santa Teresa. It is located on the top of a hill in Mal Pais so you will either need to get a taxi there or drive there yourself in a rented ATV. There is a minimum spend of $16 per person which can be spent on either drinks or appetizers, but it is completely worth the money. The view from the pool is absolutely spectacular and it is a great way to meet like minded travellers. Head up to Vista De Olas any day of the week!
Let me know if you have been to any os these places or have any other recommendations that you would like to share!
